This very special IPA was brewed on the fly with our new friend Craig Melvin and the extraordinary Today Show film crew. We wanted the beer to take on the identity of the moment we were in, which felt both genuine and surreal. While it’s hard to capture emotions in a beer, having Craig go through the process of brewing with us and actually choosing the hops we used in the beer moments before we pitched them in the boil made this experience unique and representative of Craig’s sensory in that moment.

We had the pleasure of hosting Today Show host Craig Melvin at Alternate Ending, where he helped us brew this special beer in memory of his brother Lawrence.

The can label

This label was designed in memory of Lawrence Meadows. If Lawrence knew he had a beer made in his honor, he’d crack some joke that would have us all crying with laughter. That was Lawrence. A man of faith, who never drank. But even while battling colon cancer he was joking, lifting the spirits of everyone who had come to comfort him. He would laugh with you. And, as a pastor, he’d pray with you too. A beloved father, husband, brother and son. He is dearly missed.
