This is a true Alt End beer, as it never was supposed to be brewed. When Scott interviewed Brendan for the Head Brewer position, they both agreed they would NEVER brew a Hefe. But then at OH Philly, a brewer named Joe spoke highly of the style, describing it as the ultimate breakfast beer. While sampling one, and discussing the ability to do a ferulic acid rest on our decoction system (which creates a nice balance of clove and banana) we agreed to brew one!

The can label

We love illustrator Lisa Haney's interpretation of our latest unmade movie, Shadow On The Sun. This was a story that Stanley Kubrick was working on based off a BBC radio play called Shadow on the Sun, about an invasion by lizard-like aliens who block out the sun and infect Earth with a virus that sends mankind into a frenzy.  Kubrick even mentioned a “Bill Murray line” in his notes. What could’ve been!
